Cape Coral is also the largest city in Southwest Florida. This Beautiful city is bordered on the south and east by the Caloosahatchee River and on the west by Matlacha Pass giving all boaters quick access to the Gulf of Mexico. There are three types of navigable canals:  Direct Access to the Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Access with bridges, fresh water canals that lead to several lakes. For Fishing Lovers:  Anyplace is a great fishing place in the Cape. Whether your favorite spot is onshore,  a pier or out in the Gulf of Mexico Cape Coral has it all!  Stop in one of our local bait and tackle shops and ask them what is running and sure they can tell you just what you need and where to go to catch all you can. The beach at Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park hosts weekly sunset celebrations and other family events.  For biking enthusiasts there are miles of marked bike trails throughout Cape Cora and  the bike trail on Pine Island runs the length of the island from Bokeelia to St, James City - 16 miles.  There is a yearly bicycle event The Tour D'Cape that has a route for any age or experience.
